This weekend was amazing. Probably the most amazing weekend that I’ve had in a very long time. It was much needed. It all started on Thursday. I took two days off from my somewhat stressful demanding career. I hopped on a flight to Las Vegas from Long Beach…to watch ARCADE FIRE perform at The Joint. ACES! I met up with a group of people and hung out with them. God, those were some generous folk let me tell you. They were nothing but nice. COOL!! So the show was just fucken amazing. Except for the fucken assholes behind me who kept making asshole comments at my friends and I. HEY..SOME ADVICE…PUT THE FUCKEN PIPE AND BEER DOWN AND GET TO THE SHOW EARLY OR SHUT THE FUCK UP. I’m not about to move from my spot up against the rail just because you’re short. Fuck you. dicks. Yeah but it was seriously ridiculous. The culprit behind it was some 30 something year old parent, “punk as fuck” woman who wouldn’t shut her trap. That’s nice, broad…30 something years old and still trying to impress/prove to the teenagers in your group on how “punk/hardcore” you are at fucken Arcade Fire show. Lame motherfucker and I bet you a million dollars that my small vinyl collection would blow yours out of the water. Dick. Anyway…The show was amazing and words haven’t been invented yet to describe what it was like being there. Blah bla blah..cheesy but I don’t care. So I went back to the hotel straight after the show, fell asleep, and went back home first thing in the morning. Excited the morning after the show.
So..fast forward to Saturday evening. I was at home working on some photos when I get a text from my friend Tony asking me if I wanted to watch Arcade Fire at Coachella. I was in a WTF state of mind soon after..I was like “Wait what? Wait how??? Seriously? You’re dicking with me right now right?”….Nope. All he said “Grab your bag and wait for me outside, I’ll be at your house in 10 minutes”..OMFG…What should I wear? I’m not prepared! This is last minute!!! Well anyway..we drove 2 hours outside of our hood into the warm desert of Indio only to watch ONE HOUR of Arcade Fire’s set. Was it worth it? HELL FUCKEN YES. GOD YES. It was worth those two fucken hours and an additional hour of getting into VIP parking. It was great. VIP..hahah! Anyway….
So both Tony and I aren’t into VIP anything except for parking…hah! SO we were waddling through the crowd of people until we found a nice spot to stand at…it was comfortable and it was somewhere in the backside. We were standing around, singing along and just having such a great fucken time when tony turns to me and says to me “I really love your company. I love being around you. I love hanging out when we can. I want you to be my girlfriend. Can we give it a shot?”…He was telling me this as The Suburbs were playing in the background…it was weird..I turned to him, bright eyed and red faced…and I was like “What the fuck did you just say?”…he repeated what he said. HAH IT WAS SO ROMANTIC! LOL! oh my god, I was taken back by what he said. I never in a million years would have expected such a thing. It seriously blew me away. I don’t have a relationship history. I won’t get into that. Anyway…arcade fire was playing in the background and it made the moment so cool and romantic haha :) The show ended and drove back home soon after…I came home at 6:00 a.m….
